Case Study: Trainee Pharmacist Appeal Upheld - Failed GPhC Pre-Registration Assessment At Third Attempt

Appealed Pre Reg Results on Exceptional

Circumstances Grounds - Trainee Pharmacist

Failed All Three Attempts At Registration

Assessment - Appeal to GPhC Upheld

Trainee pharmacist (‘client’) failed all three attempts  at the pre-registration assessment of the General Pharmaceutical Council (‘GPhC’). Our client had also reached the end of the registration period with the GPhC – RT Coopers drafted an Appeal which was Upheld.

Background

RT Coopers Solicitors were instructed to draft an appeal for  our client after our client sat and failed the third attempt at the pre-registration assessment. The appeal was based on exceptional circumstances.

Grounds of Appeal

In the appeal, RT Coopers demonstrated to the  GPhC that our client had good and compelling  reasons that were exceptional and that our client’s appeal should be upheld.   There were exceptional circumstances when our client sat the third attempt of the pre-registration assessment.

Outcome

On submission of the appeal, the GPhC allowed the appeal.

Commentary

By the time RT Coopers  Solicitors were instructed, three years had already expired since our client’s third attempt. Although this was a very late appeal, our client was still successful.

When searching online for a solicitor to help me, I found RT Coopers Solicitors. The reviews about the firm and Dr Cooper herself gave me hope.

Therefore, I called her office and explained my circumstances to the person who answered my call. They took my details and advised that Dr Cooper would be in touch. Shortly after this, Dr Cooper called me back, and based on the initial conversation with her, I was confident that I had approached the right person for the job. She is extremely knowledgeable and proficient in her field.

It was immediately apparent that Dr Cooper did not just see me as ‘another client’ but genuinely wanted the best possible outcome for me. She gave me the confidence, through her expertise, that I was going to come out on top of the negative situation I found myself in. This journey would not have been possible without Dr Cooper.

Being given another opportunity to sit the GPhC registration assessment is a dream come true for me. Dr Cooper has ensured that the years of hard work I have put in has not gone to waste. She went above and beyond to ensure a successful appeal.

Furthermore, she was always available to offer me guidance and support (even when it was with regard to my personal life). Words cannot explain how grateful I am for her hard work. I believe I am truly blessed to have met such an amazing human and friend in Dr Cooper. Thanks to her excellence I have been awarded another chance to pursue my dreams. Thank you Dr Cooper!
